Arriyadh Development Authority Launches Second Stage of the Public Transit Culture Initiative

The Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA) has launched the second stage of the Public Transit Culture initiative, which aims to raise awareness of the King Abdul Aziz Public Transit Project for Riyadh city (Metro & Buses).

The main objective of this initiative is to explain the concept of Public Transit (Metro & Buses) to school and university students as part of preparations for public transit launch. The initiative aims to shed light on the benefits of the project as well as highlighting the return on investment to Riyadh’s citizens relating to traffic, urban, cultural, environmental, and economic aspects.

The second stage of the Public Transit Culture Initiative includes social media influencers presenting the relative values of public transit modes compared to private cars.

The first stage of this initiative targeted the students of King Saud University and Princess Nora bint Abdul Rahman University, where 150 students were trained to become the program’s ambassadors, in addition to another 350 students who were trained to give media and administration support to serve the objectives of the campaign.

These ambassadors helped to spread the culture of Public Transit to school and university students by visiting educational institutions, showing presentations, and running interactive activities about Public Transit
