Indian prime Minister visits housing compound of workers
Riyadh, Jumada II 24, 1437, Apr 2, 2016, SPA — Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a visit here this evening to workers housing complex and a ready-mixed concrete factory, related to the coalition (Riyadh New Mobility ANM)
which implements the Orange Path of the metro, on (Medina Road – Prince Saad bin Abdul Rahman I axis), within King Abdulaziz Project for Public Transport – the Metro and buses – sponsored by Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA).
Upon arrival of the Prime Minister of India at the site, he was received by Riyadh Metro Director Eng. Waleed bin Abdulrahman Al-Ikrish and the Director of Architectural Projects Department at the ADA Eng. Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Hazani, a number of coalitions and international companies executives, supervising the project, where he listened to an explanation about the project, its tracks, elements and the expected returns of the project for Riyadh city and its inhabitants. He briefed on a presentation of work progress of orange line.
The Indian prime minister met also the Indian staff of workers and engineers who working in Riyadh metro project, He drew his speech on this occasion, and he praised the project as one of the biggest transit projects in world, he invited the manpower to make every effort in implementing the project which will stay in their memories for a lifetime.
Furthermore, the Indian prime minister mentioned the ideal work environment, equipment and benefits predisposing for the project workers. All these factors lead Arriyadh New Mobility (ANM) to achieve a milestone achievement: 15 million working hour without one working injury up till now.
Ideal work environment and perfect living conditions
ADA set the highest international standards regarding to work environment in King Abdul Aziz Project of Public Transit. These standards covered all staff levels and immigrants workers of all coalitions and companies of Riyadh Metro project.
These standards included: the legal status of all manpower of the project, ensuring that they get all their financial rights due to labor regulations in the Kingdom, and providing them the best work environments in the project that reflected positively on their performance and motivate them to make every effort.
ADA took care to meet all manpower living requirements in residential compounds of the project, these compounds took place in selected locations over the city, designed upon the highest international standards of integrated residential compounds. They meet safety, health and comfort requirements, in addition to offering the primary healthcare, they also contain many other facilities such as: open areas, kitchens, food courts, multi-function halls, and sport yards. Plus safety and security management.
40 KM orange line connects east of Riyadh with its west
The orange line is the longest line in the project with 40.7 km that connect the east side of Riyadh city with its west side, starting from “Khashm Al Aaan” area, on Jeddah road in the far western side of the city.
This line consists of 3 levels (on-ground level, tunneling level, and bridges level). The length of line’s tunnels is 9.4 km, while the bridges length is 26.1 km, and the length of on-ground level is 5.2 km.
The number of metro cars of Orange line is 47, and all of them manufactured due to state-of-the-art standards. Each metro has 3 class (First class, Family class, and single class). The metro cars will be divided by flexible partitions as required.
Arriyadh new mobility is implementing the orange line, leaded by Salini-Impregilo . ANM coalition includes also Bombardier for trains manufacturing, STS Ansaldo, Larsen & Toubro Limited, Nesma and partners, IDOM, and Arabian Worleyparsons limited from Saudia Arabia
